Developed by Harmonix and published by RedOctane, the original Guitar Hero was released in 2005 as a PlayStation-exclusive rhythm game in the same vein as Konami’s Guitar Freaks series. Guitar hero game Neversoft and Activision created Guitar Hero Metallica, a rhythm game. It was published in 2009 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii. The Guitar Hero game is based on Metallica’s songs. Around 45 Metallica and other inspired songs are included. The principles are similar to Guitar Hero but with additional features and upgrades.
