Fun games with water balloons
Put a twist on the classic musical chairs game. Place chairs in a circle facing out, one less than the number of participants. Start the music and have the kids walk in a circle around the chairs. While the music is playing, place a water balloon on one (or several) of the chairs. When the music stops, the player who can’t quickly sit on a chair is out. Repeat the game as usual taking one chair away each turn. The water balloons are there just for fun and laughs. Love The games? Get the avatars! This simple but addictive game is perfect for your speech therapy sessions or skill drill small groups. Just set a timer for any length of time and begin drill (of any skill - articulation, fluency, sight words, math facts, answering questions, etc). After your student performs a skill to your liking (1 time, 3 times, 5 times, etc) allow him/her to pick a card. If it’s a full water balloon, he/she gets to keep it. If it’s one of the POPPED water balloons, he/she must also keep it. The object of the game is to end up with the most FULL balloons and avoid getting “hit” with the popped balloons. The player with the most FULL balloons wins while the player with the most POPPED balloons loses.

Pick a balloon game
Almost every kid knows how to play tag, making this an easy go-to water balloon game. All ages can play, and all you need are water balloons. Leave a Reply Cancel reply This is a take on the outdoor egg race game. If you have small water balloons like we do, find large serving spoons to balance them upon. Some of our balloons broke before we even got the race started, so if you're a fierce competitor, use both hands to keep your balloon steady until the GO! signal is made.
